Welcome to Sunflower Financial Planning
Sunflower Financial Planning is an independent, fee-only financial planning practice based in Windham, NH and serving clients across the country. I am Inna Rivilis, the founder of Sunflower. I believe that individuals and their families deserve a better approach to money management. I started Sunflower Financial Planning with a goal to make quality independent and objective financial planning more accessible without a need to turn over assets for management in order to receive financial planning advice.

Founder and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
As a student-immigrant to the United States, I quickly realized that learning about finances is paramount to my survival in this country. Being able to understand and navigate the complexity of the financial system with 75 thousand pages of the IRS tax code, the stock market as a primary outlet for building retirement savings, debt commonly present in a day-to-day life, and other complexities was critical for future success. While getting my bachelor’s degree in finance, master’s in financial planning, and earning a designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ helped me to gain technical knowledge about finance and investment markets, the real love and a firm belief in the power of financial planning developed after I started working with individuals and families.
Prior to launching Sunflower Financial Planning, I spent over 17 years in the wealth management industry at both large financial companies and independent wealth management firms in the Boston and southern New Hampshire areas, including Fidelity Investments and Wells Fargo Private Wealth. Throughout my career, I advised clients from all walks of life, from multimillion-dollar generational wealth holders and C-level executives at Fortune 500 corporations to regular Main Street people who work hard to save for retirement, send their children to college, and take care of sick or elderly family members while juggling life.
I believe in the potential of people to intentionally live the life they desire. It starts with getting clarity on what's important to you in life and aligning resources with these values. Family is one of the most important things in my life. I am a mother, a partner, a friend, and a business owner. I live my life with empathy and compassion and find joy, energy, and fulfillment in collaboration and community. Balance is peace and harmony for me. I am drawn to nature for both adventure and healing. Stillness is my sanctuary. You may find me on a bike path, a ski slope, a hike in the mountains, a yoga retreat, meditating at the beach, exploring a different country or a national park, or volunteering in classrooms to teach financial literacy to children. Anchored by my family, my friends, my professional community, and my interest in creating freedom for myself and others.
In 2024, I was honored to be named one of the top financial planners in the U.S. by Money.com. For more information about my professional background, click here to view my LinkedIn.

Laura Elizabeth Pohl
Associate Financial Planner, AFC®
I’m passionate about helping people make thoughtful money decisions that align with their values and the lives they want to live. I am an Accredited Financial Counselor® (AFC®) and aspire to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
My path to financial planning has been anything but traditional. For over 15 years, I worked in humanitarian aid as a photographer and filmmaker, documenting global issues and running my own creative business. Along the way, I discovered a deep interest in the financial side of entrepreneurship—budgeting for projects, planning for taxes, and setting long-term goals. I began blogging and podcasting to help other creative professionals make sense of their financial lives, and I realized what I enjoyed most was empowering people to understand their money.
Before that, I spent four years as a financial journalist with Dow Jones Newswires, reporting on global markets from New York and Seoul. I also worked as an editorial assistant for a national magazine. I hold a B.A. in Communications and an M.A. in Photojournalism.
Outside of work, I find joy and balance in movement and creativity. You’ll often find me hiking in the woods, lifting weights, reading nonfiction, or immersed in K-pop and Korean dramas.
